IMAGING SERVICES & OBSTETRICAL AND
GYNECOLOGICAL ULTRASOUND
Imaging Services at The Women's Healthcare Group provides Obstetrical and Gynecological Ultrasound examinations as well as Achilles (heel) and DXA Bone Densitometry evaluation. Routine Obstetric ultrasound exams are performed to evaluate early pregnancy and growth. Gynecologic ultrasound exams evaluate the non-pregnant uterus and ovaries. Bone Densitometry exams evaluate and monitor the density of the spine and hips to assess the risk of bone fractures.
Imaging Services is conveniently located in the lower level of the building. We are equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasound and bone densitometry equipment. Imaging studies are performed by our technologist Tim Sammon, a Registered Sonographer with over 25 years of ultrasound experience and a certified Bone Densitometry Technologist. Exams are interpreted by our group physicians who all have extensive Ultrasound experience and are certified Clinical Densitometrists.
Our ultrasound services have been accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) to assure a high level of quality in the ultrasound exams that we perform.
