To the patients of Dr. Thomas,
With the news of Dr. Thomas closing her practice, you are faced with a very important decision. Where should you go to continue your OB/GYN care? This community is faced with a shortage of OB/GYN providers, making it challenging to meet the needs of women in this area.
To address this issue, The Women's Healthcare Group has made the decision to add another physician to our group. Dr. Wendy Davis will be joining our practice effective January 2nd of next year. In the meantime, we are also actively recruiting a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to help us keep up with the demand for annual gynecological exams and gynecological problems. We hope to complete this process in the coming months.
With all of that being said, we feel that it is important for you to continue your gynecological care, including your annual preventive exams. We are working very hard to improve access to care for women in this community. If you would like to become a patient of the top OB/GYN practice in the area, please let us know. To help manage the transition of Dr. Thomas' patients, we are asking that those with Internet access
set up an account on our Website and request an appointment. This will help reduce the phone volume that could be caused due to patients making the transition. For those without Internet access, you can contact us at 845-1621. If one of our nine current providers does not have available appointments for annual exams, we will create a list and contact you when the Nurse Practitioner and/or Dr. Davis begins seeing new patients. Should you have a current problem needing addressed, we will schedule you with one of our current providers to address it, and then transition you to one of the two new providers for continuing care.
